Horror Movie Reference The Shining in Game Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail is a turn-based RPG game recently released by HoYoverse, the developer that also made popular games like Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact and features a setting in the Honkai-verse world, where players can meet characters from the Honkai series before, like Himeko, Bronya, Seele, and others. Apart from that, this game also has a lot of uniqueness and Easter eggs that players can find.

One of the things that attract the attention of Honkai Star Rail fans is the reference to horror films in this game. This is known from a tweet on Twitter by a player named Skion, who found a scene inspired by the film The Shining, by legendary director Stanley Kubrick.

In his tweet, Skion shared a screenshot of when he was looking for a secret treasure chest on planet Jarilo-VI when he saw two twins standing at the end of an empty corridor, with a quite tense atmosphere.

This scene is very similar to one of the iconic scenes in the film The Shining, in which protagonist Jack Torrance sees two bloodied twins in the Overlook Hotel.

Skion also admitted that he was surprised and nostalgic to see the reference to this horror film in the Honkai Star Rail game. He also praised the details given by the developer HoYoverse in presenting this Easter egg which not only takes from the film but also the novel by Stephen King.

Not only Skion, but many other players are also interested in the existence of references to this horror film in the Honkai Star Rail game and they hope that there are more hidden things they can find in this game, which shows the creativity and love of the HoYoverse developer for his work.
