Rumors about the ability of a low-end or entry-level GPU or graphics card that has a fairly high-performance capability are no longer just rumors. The AMD Radeon RX 6300 will be released simultaneously with the Radeon RX 6400 and Radeon RX 6500.
The AMD Radeon RX 6300 is one of the GPUs included in the RDNA 2 family, the latest architecture from AMD that offers increased performance and efficiency compared to the previous generation. This GPU is expected to use the Navi 24 chip, which is the same as the laptop version, the RX 6300M.
AMD Radeon RX 6300 Performance
There are rumors that the AMD Radeon RX 6300 will have 16 Compute Units (CU) equivalent to 1024 Stream Processors (SP). This number is less than other RDNA 2 GPUs such as the RX 6600 XT which has 32 CUs or the RX 6800 which has 60 CUs.
Even so, that doesn’t mean that the AMD Radeon RX 6300 GPU will have too mediocre performance, in fact, miraculously the AMD Radeon RX 6300 is said to have pretty good performance capabilities.
The performance capabilities possessed by the Radeon RX 6300 are due to the role of the large AMD Infinity Cache™ which is integrated into the chip and can increase bandwidth and reduce memory latency.
The cache also helps save power because it requires less power or voltage than regular GDDR6 memory. It is estimated that the AMD Radeon RX 6300 will have an Infinity Cache of 16 MB, enough to handle modern games at Full HD resolution.
In addition, the AMD Radeon RX 6300 will also support advanced features such as ray tracing hardware acceleration, Variable Rate Shading (VRS), Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR), Smart Access Memory (SAM), and others.
This feature set will be able to improve graphics quality and game performance without sacrificing a lot of resources.
What needs to be remembered is that this fantastic feature will not be fully enjoyed if the game developer does not support or use certain command lines that are directed to use these features.
Radeon RX 6300 Price
As for the price of the AMD Radeon RX 6300, there is still no official information from AMD. Several speculations have sprung up regarding the price of an entry-level GPU with high performance, saying the figure will be in the price range of USD 58 to USD 60.
